Mr. Ken J. Jude, age 57, of Annandale formerly Maple Lake died Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Buffalo Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey B. Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Lake Community Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake and one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the church in Maple Lake.
Kenneth John 'Ken' Jude was born September 14, 1948 in St. Cloud to Donald C. and Margaret G. (Kotilinek) Jude. He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1966. Ken married Myrna L. Link on July 17, 1971 in Buffalo. Ken worked as a foreman for C.S. McCrossan and Mueller Pipe Liners, was a dairy and crop farmer, owned and operated Ken Jude Trucking, from 1991-2002 was a Wright County Commissioner, serving District 1 and the past 4 years was employed by M & M Bus Service, Annandale. From 1966-1986 he was in the Army Reserves with the 353rd Division, Buffalo. He lived in Maple Lake for 28 years before moving to Annandale in 1999. Ken was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake, Maple Lake American Legion Post #131, Annandale Kiwanis, former member of the Maple Lake School Board, currently was serving as township supervisor for Corinna Township, Wright County and on the Board of Directors for the Annandale Care Center. He loved his family, friends, public service, hunting and fishing.
Ken is survived by his wife, Myrna of Annandale; son, David (Nicole) and their children, Vienna, Aidan, Orry and Zane of Maple Lake; daughter, Dana (Brad) Fadden and their children, Holly Jo and Garrett of Annandale; father, Donald and friend, Gen Barta of Andover; brothers, Doug of Alabama, and Bob (Helen) of Maple Lake; sister, Marilyn (Steve) Fobbe of Maple Lake; sister in law, Judy Jude of Maple Lake; father and mother in law, Lloyd and Nila Link of Buffalo; sister in law, Marsha (Jim) Goesch of Montrose, CO; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; and son in law, John Kettleson.
Pallbearers will be Roger Millner, Alan Jude, Jim Goesch, Eric Dudley, Dick Stuhr, and Bobby Copeland. Music for the funeral provided by Sue Nelson, Joe Thomas, and Dan Henjum.
