Kathy K. Huckenpoehler, age 68, of Kimball died on January 3, 2018 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.

Memorial Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery.

Kathy was born November 13, 1949 in Litchfield to Robert and Gladys (Martin) Nygaard. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1967. Kathy married Vernon Huckenpoehler on September 8, 1973 in Watertown, SD. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards, completing puzzles and attending bible study. She cherished her dog, Willie, and the time she spent with family.

She is survived by sons Randy VanNurden of Watkins, Paul (Nicole) Huckenpoehler of Kimball and Kenny Huckenpoeher of Richmond; grandchildren Tyler and Chase VanNurden, Travis, McKenzie and Cassidie Huckenpoehler; brother Dennis (JoAnn) Nygaard; sister Karen (Vern) Rolstad. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Gladys Nygaard; husband Vernon Huckenpoehler; and brothers Steven and Richard Nygaard.

The urn bearers will be Travis, McKenzie and Cassidie Huckenpoehler and Chase VanNurden. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
