Katherine Anne Routhe was born on June 20, 1941, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Knute and Ila (McNamara) Routhe. Kathy grew up in Redwood Falls, along with her 2 siblings. She was a 1959 graduate of Redwood Falls High School. She then attended the University of Minnesota. On January 6, 1962, Kathy was united in marriage to LeRoy G. Wohlman at First English Lutheran Church of Redwood Falls. They made their home in Clements while Kathy worked for the ASCS office.
Kathy and LeRoy's journey took them to Kimball where they raised their three children. For 28 years, Kathy embraced her role as the secretary at Kimball High School. She took great pride in supporting the educational community, where her warm presence and commitment to excellence touched the lives of countless students and colleagues alike.
Kathy was a woman of many interests; she found joy in reading, attending high school athletic events, and exploring the world through travel. A passionate cook, she delighted in gathering family and friends around her table, sharing not only meals but also laughter, stories, and love. Family was paramount in Kathy's life, and she cherished every moment. She possessed a kind and nurturing soul, and her warmth resonated with everyone she encountered. Her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support will forever be cherished.
Kathy died early in the morning on February 21, 2025, with a smile on her face, and with family holding her hand and at her side. She lived well and she died well; knowing that her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was there to guide her home.
