Mrs. Karen L. Tomes, age 43, of Annandale died Saturday, October 15, 2005 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2005 at Annandale United Methodist Church, with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the church.
Karen Louise Tomes was born May 28, 1962 in St. Cloud to Warren C. and Elsa F. (Kupper) Triplett. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1980 and married Wayne E. Tomes on October 28, 1981 in Anoka. Karen has lived in Annandale the past 13 years where she was a home health aide for REM and a member of Annandale United Methodist Church. Karen loved her family, traveling, flowers, gardening, and collecting bells.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne of Annandale; daughter, Kristina; sons, Brian and Michael; granddaughter, Melanie; parents, Warren and Elsa Triplett all of Annandale; sister, Linda (Jeff) Goodwin of Monticello; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her grandparents, Irwin and Florence Triplett and Karl and Edith Kupper, preceded her in death.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
