Karen Ann Logeais was born in French Lake Township, Minnesota, to Joseph and Emma (Miller) Logeais. Karen cherished the beauty of her upbringing and the community that surrounded her. She was a 1960 graduate of Annandale High School and was crowned Miss Annandale in 1961.
On February 24, 1962, Karen married Robert "Bob" Sommers, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale. Their love flourished until his death in 1991. She later found companionship with Bill Moody, and they were married until his death in 2006. Karen's life was a testament to enduring love and resilience. She spent the majority of her life in the Annandale area, apart from a brief period in Monticello during her marriage to Bill.
Karen embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and dedication. Throughout her life, she also contributed her talents by cleaning for families, managing the books for Bob's masonry company, and serving as a dental assistant. A lifetime member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Karen served as a Sunday school teacher, a devoted choir member, and an active participant in the Council of Catholic Women.
Karen's artistic talents were reflected in her love for painting, playing guitar, and singing. An avid reader of romance novels, she delighted in hunting for treasures at garage sales to sharing cherished moments over coffee with her dear friends. During the cold months of winter, she found joy in the sunshine of Florida and Texas.
Karen is survived by her sons, Daniel (Christine) of Little Falls, Timothy (Nancy) of White Bear Lake, Michael (Jen) of Annandale, and Patrick of St. Paul; grandchildren, Emma, Alex, Abby, Paige, Mason, A.J., Rowan, Jackson, and Mona; great-grandchild, Jaxon; siblings, Eva Jahnke of Elk River and Janet (Bruce) Berg of Alexandria; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma Logeais; husbands, Bob Sommers and Bill Moody; siblings, Dorothy Verhey, Ralph Logeais, and Gladys Stuhr; and companion, John Hill.
Karen's grandchildren will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
