June Vorachek Kelly, age 83, of St. Paul died July 4, 2008 at the Presbyterian Home in Bloomington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 10 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake. Fr. Michael Izen will officiate and burial will be in the St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake.
June was born to Frank and Lillian (Hlinka) Vorachek on June 21, 1925 in Maple Lake, MN. She graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1943 and later received two degrees from the University of Minnesota. On November 20, 1947 she was united in marriage to Robert L. Kelly at St. Timothy's in Maple Lake. She enjoyed a long elementary teaching career in the Minneapolis Public School system and volunteered at Dowling School for many years after retirement. June and Robert enjoyed traveling as they showed their Dachshunds in the United States and Canada. She also traveled to England, France, and throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. She was an avid reader and enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and collecting antiques.
She is survived by her daughters, Lucinda and Sarah. June was preceded in death by her husband Robert.
The Resurrection Choir and Marge Pavlik will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
