Obituary
Julia Weidner, age 96, of Annandale, formerly of Shreveport, LA, died peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the Annandale Care Center.
A prayer service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Annandale Care Center Chapel in Annandale, MN with Pastor Luke Baehr officiating. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. May 29, 2013 at Forest Park East Cemetery in Shreveport, LA with The Rev. Paul Martin officiating. Friends may call 30 minutes prior to the prayer service, Friday, May 17 at the Annandale Care Center Chapel and from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 at Osborn Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA.
Julia Ann Morgan Weidner was born May 21, 1916 in Greeley, Colorado to John and Lulu (Davidson) Morgan. She graduated from Greeley High School in June 1934; she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder. On June 5, 1937 she was united in marriage to Carl Birch Weidner. Julia was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a wonderful friend and neighbor. Julia was caring, joyful and strong and rarely complained.
She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth "Betsy" Weidner of Annandale; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Lara and Dana Kjaer of South Haven; and her great grandchildren Arthur and Julia. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Louise Day; and sisters Marjorie Lincoln and Jean Wilson.
Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale, Minnesota and Osborn Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana.
