Obituary
Joy A. Erickson, age 55, of South Haven died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at her home under Allina Hospice Care with her family at her side.
Memorial Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball with Pastor Luke Baehr officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Joy Alice Erickson was born December 27, 1957 in Buffalo, NY to Donald and Roberta (Jackson) Froom. She grew up and graduated in Fridley. On October 6, 1979, Joy was united in marriage to Paul L. Erickson in Minneapolis. They lived in Minnetonka until moving to South Haven in 1995. Joy worked for 11 years for the Minnetonka School District; she was a loved lunch lady and playground monitor. Joy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, going out on the boat and especially loved to have fun with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Paul of South Haven; sons & their spouses Jason & Nicole of Buffalo and Christopher "Toby" & Sue of South Haven; step children John Erickson and Cathy Schouviller, both of Princeton; mother Roberta Froom of Buffalo; father Donald Froom of Minnetonka; brother Darryl Froom of Fridley; three grandchildren Bailey, Trinity and Christopher and four step grandchildren Nicole, Lindsey, Jesse and Taylor.
