Joseph Theede, a loving, warm and gentle man, age 79 of Maple Lake, formerly of Morris passed away from a massive coronary heart attack on Sunday, November 23, 2008.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9 a.m. Saturday November 29, 2008 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake. Fr. Michael Izen will officiate and burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, ANNANDALE and from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, MAPLE LAKE. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Annandale.

Joseph A. Theede was born September 26, 1929 in Breckenridge to Nickolas and Catherine (Bernard) Theede. He served in the Korean War in the US Army and was employed with Otter Tail Power for 42 years. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake. He was very proud of his family and loved them very much.

Joe is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Denise (Ken) Mielke of Annandale, Mike (Shirley) Theede of St. Mary's Point, and Paul Theede of Maple Lake; grandchildren, Dr. Michelle Mielke (Chris Park), Jason (Tania) Mielke, Justin Mielke, Heidi (Adam) Sordahl, Kristi, Kelly, Hope and Suzuko Theede; great grandchildren, Alexandra, Ashton and Luke; sister-in-law, Lourell Theede; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Larry, Leo, Matt and Tony Theede; and five sisters, Rocille Lewis, Caroline Hestera, Clara Wolke, Margaret Dengel, Loretta Horn.

Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
