Joseph L. 'Joe' Schaufler, age 43, of 4392 County Road 8 NW, Maple Lake died Friday, November 18, 2005 at home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. on Monday.
Joseph Leonard 'Joe' Schaufler was born October 3, 1962 in Buffalo to Norbert J. and Marcella M. (Paumen) Schaufler. He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1981 and married Becky Happe on October 23, 1982 in Maple Lake; the couple later divorced. Joe married Annette K. Roden on August 12, 2000 in Monticello. He lived all his life in Maple Lake where he farmed and was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church. Joe loved farming, family, and friends.
Joe is survived by his wife, Annette of Maple Lake; daughters, Kari, Amanda, and Christina; son, Ryan all of Annandale; parents, Norbert and Marcella of Maple Lake; sisters, Jeanette (Bruce) Paulson of Maple Lake, Bev (Lonnie) Hendricks of Kimball, and Barb (Troy) Becker of Maple Lake; brother, Steve of Maple Lake; and granddaughter, Astella Schaufler of Annandale.
Pallbearers will be Eric and Joe Hendricks, Corey and Chris Paulson, Jim Wright, and Dan Wurm. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Scanlon, Dan Jost, Jim Scanlon, Beau Duick, Dennis Stuhr, Jerry Schaufler, Charlie Schaufler, Jim Schaufler, Adam Schaufler, Noel Zander, Jon Carlson, Dan Carlson, Randy Borell, Tom Ramsdell, Mark Miller, and Aaron Jude. Music for the funeral provided by St. Timothy's Resurrection Choir, Marge Pavlik, Alison Totz, and Annette Gunnerson.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
