Obituary

Mr. Joseph F. Provo, age 83, of Las Vegas, formerly of Annandale died Friday, February 7, 2003 at the Sienna Campus of St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Henderson, NV.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2003 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Father Mark Huberty and Deacon Ron Freeman officiating. Inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Friday at the church in Annandale.

Joseph F. Provo was born February 11, 1919 in Maple Lake to Jule and Bernadette (Martin) Provo. He was a 1937 graduate of Maple Lake High School and served in the US Army during WW II. On September 6, 1945 he married Monique A. Martin in Paris, France. He lived in the Maple Lake and Annandale area most of his life where he was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, and Father O`Brien`s Council Knights of Columbus # 3613. He was employed by Lakedale Telephone Company of Annandale for 36 years, retiring in 1982. For the past two years he has spent his summers in Rice and his winters in Las Vegas. He loved his family, enjoyed his music, fishing, and friends.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Monique; sons, Patrick (Barb) of Dayton, Bruce (Cheryl) of Annandale; daughters, Jeannine (Dennis) Dircks of Annandale, Jacqueline (Rand) Schaper of Rice, Janelle (Steven) Broadwell of Las Vegas; brother, Arsene (Freda) Provo of Annandale; sisters, Lucille (Don) Smith of Maple Lake, Marie Remund of Coon Rapids; grandsons, Bryan, Jeremy, Aaron, Jesse, Jason, Cole, Bryce, Lucas, Nicholas, and Nathan; granddaughters, Jenna and Paige. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Joseph; and granddaughter, Josette.

Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
