Jerry F. Meyers, age 70, of Kimball died Monday, August 24, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Church of Christ, Kimball with Pastor Kevin White officiating.  Committal Service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Forest City Cemetery, Litchfield.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, Saturday, at the church.

Jerry Frances Meyers was born December 24, 1944 at the St. Cloud Hospital to William and Leona (VanNurden) Meyers.  He grew up and lived his entire life in Kimball.  Jerry graduated with the Class of 1963 from Kimball High School.  Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.  He worked for over 40 years as the custodian at Kimball Elementary School.  Jerry was a past Commander of the Kimball American Legion Post 261 and was a member of the National Rifle Association.  He was busy in the community and enjoyed visiting with friends, riding his golf cart, making his homemade beef jerky, fishing, hunting, boating and spending time at his camper on Lake Marie.

Jerry is survived by his sister Joan Meyers of Maple Grove; sister-in-law Sharon Meyers of Kimball; niece Shannon Meyers of Maple Lake; and great nephews and great niece Bryant Stucky, Jade Zeidler and Amber Zeidler.  He is preceded in death by his parents William and Leona Meyers and brother Patrick Meyers.

Military honors will be provided by the Kimball American Legion Post 261 Honor Guard and the Minnesota National Guard Honor Guard.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
