Jerome 'Jerry' Gerard, age 81, of Annandale died Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Good Samaritan University Specialty Center, Minneapolis.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Funeral Services held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Peter J. Martinson officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery , French Lake Township , Wright County .

Jerome LeRoy Gerard was born February 8, 1930 in Minneapolis to Alvin Clement & Evelyn Agnes (Walberg) Gerard and was a 1947 graduate of South High School . He served his Country during the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Army and married Margaret 'Peggy' Lee on October 29, 1955. He learned typesetting at Dunwoody Institute and worked as a printer for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune for many years. He was a 60-year member of CWA/ITU Printers Union.

He is survived by his wife Margaret 'Peggy', children & their spouses Thomas & Holly of Alexandria, Paul & Karen of Champlin, Catherine & Thomas Johnson of Annandale , Robert of Alexandria, brother Duane & his wife Sandy of Annandale, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Raynold and daughter in law Lee.
