Jennie F. Newman, age 88, of Buffalo formerly of Annandale died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Sunrise Cottages, Buffalo.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Timothy Nerud officiating. Interment services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clinton Falls. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Jennie was born December 15, 1920 at Clinton Falls to Frank and Mary (Schultz) Hogate. She was a homemaker, a waitress & worked at Fingerhut, and then for 16 years as a custodian for Annandale School District 876. From 1955-1962 she lived at Kimball then at Annandale until moving to Sunrise Cottages 2 years ago. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and making craft items.
She is survived by her children Gene (Teresa) of Garfield, AR, Lloyd (Carol) of Kimball, Lorraine Rose of South Haven, Ted (Joyce) of Zimmerman, Bill (Brenda) of South Haven, 11 Grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren. Her former husband Walter and son in law Donald Rose preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be John & James Rose, Lori Groinus, Tom, Chad, Dallas, Traci & Kayla Newman. The honorary pallbearers will be Judy Silkworth, Curt Newman & Angie Hadley. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
