Jeanette C. Johnson, age 65, of Annandale died Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson and Rev. DJ Lura officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Annandale. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Jeanette Carol Johnson was born September 17, 1944 in Alexandria to the late James and Alice (Jung) Cassell. She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1962 and in 1968 from St. Cloud State University. She married Ronald M. Johnson on August 5, 1967 and since 1970 they have lived in Annandale. She taught 2 years in Fridley, for 2 years did Title One in Annandale, and then for 20 years was an Elementary Special Education Teacher in Buffalo retiring in 2002. She was the Befriender Coordinator and member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, her morning two-mile walks, gardening, being by the lake and being grandma.
She is survived by her husband Ronald of Annandale, sons Marty (Michelle) of Rockford, Adam of Rogers, grandson Blake of Rockford, brothers James (Carol) Cassell of Annandale, Vern (Lorraine) Cassell of Alexandria, and mother in law Sylvia Johnson of Alexandria.
The pallbearers will be Paul Iverson, Jim Olson, Steve Olson, Jim Peterson, Larry Reitmeier, and Ron Way. The music for the service will be provided by Orma Lou Jacobsma and Rev. Dave Nelson. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
