Jeanette M. Holt, age 77, of Monticello died Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Monticello-Big Lake Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake with Rev. Steven King and Rev. Peter Martinson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lake Community Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Jeanette M. Holt was born June 25, 1930 in Paynesville, MN, to Eddie H.M. and Clara Louise (Dalhaug) Johnson. She married James L. Holt on April 1, 1950 in Paynesville. They lived in Coon Rapids, Maple Lake, and currently in Monticello. Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper for Thermo Serv and Zeiss Companies. Jeanette was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and a former member of Faith Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids. She was very active in her Church having served as Sunday School Superintendent at Faith and WELCA Treasurer at Holy Cross. She enjoyed baking and sewing. Jeanette hand stitched over 100 beautiful quilts. She was also known for her apple pies and caramel rolls. Jeanette was always available to help others when help was needed.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim of Monticello; 5 daughters and their husbands, Sharon & William Ehrlichmann of Minneapolis, Diane & Abner Henkel of Sheboygan, WI, Karen & Kristopher Knudsen of Isanti, Noreen & Donald Carlson of Ham Lake, Paula Holt of Big Lake; sister, Dorothy Martinson of Paynesville; brother, Donald (Leayn) Johnson of Huntington Beach, CA; 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Rebecca, Jesse, Justin, Kirk, Kyle, Kimberly, Clara, Michael, Palen & Paulee; and 10 great grandchildren, Derick, Ryan, Denver, Britany, Stephanie, Boston, Morgan, Alesha, Jade & Joel. Jeanette's parents, Eddie and Clara Johnson, and two sisters, Carol Otteson and Harriet Iverson, preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be grandsons, Andrew Ehrlichmann, Jesse & Justin Henkel, Kirk & Kyle Knudsen, Palen Hagestuen, and Michael Carlson. The music for the service will be provided by Becky King, RaNae Martinson, Luke and Laura Martinson. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
