Obituary
Jean S. Haskin, age 94, of Annandale, MN died Friday, December 23, 2011 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Augusta after a long history of pulmonary hypertension.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Annandale United Methodist Church, Annandale, MN with Rev. Ruth Hograbe officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 6 p.m. Tuesday. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 30 at the Pardeeville Cemetery, Pardeeville, WI. Memorials are preferred to the Annandale United Methodist Church.
Jean Spear Haskin was born December 25, 1916 in Wyocena, WI to Gordon & Luella (Patchin) Spear and was a 1934 graduate of Pardeeville High School. She married Donald Haskin on October 10, 1936 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1982. She married Erik Johansson on April 24, 1992. Jean was a member of the Annandale United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Clover Leaf Chapter #128. She was an honorary member of the Annandale Improvement Club and a charter member of the Camp Friendship Auxiliary. Jean was the last living member of the Poker Club and enjoyed playing cards & reading.
She is survived by her husband Erik Johansson of Annandale, children Jerelyn Maher of Peoria, IL, Thomas (Sandra) Haskin of Fridley, MN, Julia (Michael) Meyer of North Branch, MN, 9 grandchildren Karen Maher, Donald Maher, Robert Johnston, Michael Johnston, Marnie McCormick, Ashley Haskin, Jason Meyer, Jennifer Price & Daniel Meyer, 16 great grandchildren Lucas, Leah, Spencer, Preston, Grant, Julia, Evan, Darby, Piper, Jake, Erin, Emily, Allison, Andrew, Wyatt & Ethan. She was preceded in death by her first husband Donald Haskin, infant son Donald, daughter Veronica Johnston, son in law Bernard Maher, and brother Marvin Spear.
The pallbearers will be Robert & Michael Johnston, Jason & Daniel Meyer, and Donald Maher. The music for the service will be provided by Dan & Karen Wickman. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale. The family would like to acknowledge the staff and volunteers at Quiet Oaks Hospice House for their tender loving care.
