Obituary
Janyce Fischer, age 69, of 18065 Deerwood Road, Clearwater died Thursday, April 1, 2004 at her home of 51 years surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2004 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Kimball with Rev. Dave Milz officiating. Interment will be in the Fair Haven Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday.
Janyce Brown Fischer was born October 13, 1934 in St. Cloud to Earle E. and Mary Ellen (VanNurden) Brown. She married W. Wayne Fischer on June 2, 1951 in Fair Haven. She was a homemaker and was employed by Sun Plastics retiring in 1996. She was baptized in the Church of Christ, Kimball and confirmed in Concordia Lutheran Church, Fair Haven. She was a member of the Fair Haven Lioness Club and former member of Concordia Ladies Aid. She enjoyed her family, collecting Beanie Babies, sewing, crocheting, gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, W. Wayne of Clearwater; children & their spouses, Mick & Mary of Kimball, Wendy & Art Gwin of Redmond, OR, Larry & Sara of Clearwater, Barb & Lyle Lingofelt of Cold Spring, Sandy & David Loch of Grand Rapids, Ron & Celia of Little Falls; brothers, sisters, & their spouses, Neal & Harriet Brown of St. Louis Park, Rheba & Delbert Holm of Kimball, Calvin & Louella Brown of Palisade, Betty Jean & Merlin Pickle of Eden Prairie; brother in law, Neal Gillis of Osakis; 18 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Gillis; daughter in law, Eirene; and brother in law, Fillmore Hewitt.
