Obituary
Janet M. Maurice, age 86, of Annandale died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 in her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Rev. Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be parish prayers at 6:00 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
Janet M. Maurice was born October 11, 1919 in Edinburg, ND to Ben and Josephine (Johnson) Shuley. She married Lucian Maurice on August 6, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1986. Janet was an elementary teacher in Annandale for 30 years. She volunteered at the Annandale Care Center & at the blood bank and she was a member of the Camp Friendship Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Schultz and her husband, Clyde Schultz of Coon Rapids; sister, Norma Gire; and grandchildren, Kevin and Katie Schultz. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Clifford and Victor Shuley; six sisters, Ivah Johnson, Effie Shuley, Blenda Monson, Elaine Monson, Wilma Laurhammer and Alice Ferguson.
The pallbearers will be Don Bruggeman, Ben Meuwissen, Joe Kaz, Ed Kaz, Virginia Marohn and Kevin Schultz. The music for the service will be provided by Sue Morton, pianist and Katie Schultz & Chris Olson, soloists. The altar servers will be Andrew, Emily, Michael and Matthew Sowada. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
