James S. Seutter, age 74, of Shoreview, died Thursday, December 17, 2020.

A private service will be held Monday, July 12, 2021. Burial will take place at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Fairhaven.

James Steven Seutter was born April 11, 1946 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to Lorenz and Helena (Lueck) Seutter. As a young boy, Jim moved with his family to Shoreview. He graduated from Centennial High School in 1964 and attended Augsburg College. Jim worked for his family hardware store, Northway Hardware, in Circle Pines. After the store was sold, Jim worked in retail and grocery. Jim loved to read and was an avid Vikings fan his entire life.

Jim is survived by his children from his marriage to Shirley Seutter: Angela (Cody Kotnik) Seutter of St. Louis Park and Derek (Angela) Seutter of Sartell; 4 grandchildren, Greta and Ingrid Kotnik and Owen and Isaac Seutter; and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.
