Obituary

James W. Segner, age 70, of Annandale died suddenly Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Annandale.

Memorial Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and Saturday one hour prior to services at the church.  There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday.

James William Segner was born October 16, 1940 in St. Cloud to Andrew and Bernice (Oberson) Segner.  He served his Country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and on September 10, 1966 in Aitkin married Trudy Howard.  He has owned and operated Little Jim's Sports in Annandale since 1978 and enjoyed playing cribbage, golfing, fishing, hunting and flower gardening.

He is survived by his wife Trudy of Annandale, children & their spouses Andrew & Marci of South Haven, Paul & Cathy of Annandale, Michelle & Jeff Tobin of Tampa, FL, Kurt of Annandale, eight grandchildren Rebecca & Thomas Segner, Victoria, Olivia & Brock Tobin, Jimmy & Julia Segner, and Kolton Segner, brother Thomas of Maple Lake and sister in law Betty of Maple Lake.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert and step father John Mooney.

Arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
