James F. Pribyl, age 86, of Maple Lake died Monday, March 28, 2005 at his daughter's home in St. Cloud.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in St. Timothy's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials are preferred to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, 111 Broadway, New York, NY 10006.
James Francis Pribyl was born Feb. 12, 1919 in Maple Lake to Frank and Julia (Sobotka) Pribyl. His parents died while Jim was in high school leaving him, his brother Louis and sister Julia Ring to run the family farm. On June 10, 1941 he married Margaret Armenta Elsenpeter. They had seven children and continued farming in Maple Lake Township. Jim was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church, the Farmers Union and served on the Maple Lake School Board. He loved farming, cars, traveling and was a strong supporter of education. For the past 15 years Jim and Margaret wintered in Mesa, Arizona.
James is survived by his daughters, Mary Jane (Duane) Heng of Woodbury, Kathryn (John) Reisinger of St. Cloud and sons Daniel ( Mary Jo) of Maple Lake, Charles (Kay) of Birmingham, AL, Ronald (Diann) of Eau Claire, WI and Joseph (Debra) of Forest Lake; 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret on August 4, 2003, brother Louis, sister Julia, son Jimmy and grandson Roy.
The pallbearers will be grandsons, David Heng, Eric Reisinger, Greg Pribyl, Jamie Pribyl, Jason Pribyl and Jacob Pribyl. The music for the service will be provided by Randy & Marie Mavencamp, Elizabeth Kephart and Marge Pavlik. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
