James L. Noland, age 87, of Annandale, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the Annandale Care Center. He died just 11 days after the death of the love of his life, Jean.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2023 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. The service will be a joint service for Jim and his wife, Jean.

James Lee Noland was born June 13, 1936, in Park Rapids, MN to Ben and Isabelle (Harkness) Noland. He graduated from Hopkins High School with the Class of 1954. On April 19, 1958, he was united in marriage to Jean Ann Luedke. They lived and worked in Robbinsdale, MN, and Atlanta, GA, before moving back to Brooklyn Center, MN and Fridley, MN to raise their family. Jim spent most of his career at Pako Corporation in Golden Valley. He was also an entrepreneur starting numerous companies. Most notable were Sporting Goods, Inc., which he founded with friends in 1971, and Quality Photo Processing, Inc., founded in 1983. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, and watching the Twins & Vikings while complaining about them the entire time. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Don (Sandy) Noland of Maple Lake; daughter, Laura (Brian) Beuning of Lakeville; five grandchildren, Sam (HollyAnn) Noland, Greg (Masha) Beuning, Tori (Landon) Werner, Michael (Rachel) Beuning, and Eric Noland; four great-grandchildren, Charlie and Marlee Noland, Winona and Holden Werner; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Noland and Isabelle Howie; wife, Jean; sisters, Norma Weeks and Grace Plankers; and brothers, Bob, Ben, and Dean Noland.
