James "Jim" Jacobson, age 84, of Annandale, died Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Annandale Care Center.

Memorial Services will be held 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Denny Johnson will officiate.

James Alan Jacobson was born on July 3, 1941, in Sisseton, South Dakota, to Harvey and Violet (Cornish) Jacobson. As a young boy, Jim moved with his family to Minneapolis where he attended South High School, graduating with the class of 1959. He went on to have a career as a delivery driver, for Emery Air Freight, and later to FedEx, where he worked diligently until retirement.

In 1960, Jim married the love of his life, Sandra Danielson, in Mason City, Iowa. Together, they built a life rich in love and laughter. They made their home in Minneapolis where they raised their three sons before embracing the serene beauty of Cedar Lake near Annandale in 1983.

Jim attended Heartland Free Church in Annandale, where he found a sense of belonging and fellowship. He was also a proud member of the NRA and the Republican Party. Jim had a love for the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and collecting firearms. His passion for the outdoors was matched only by his love for dancing and traveling.

He is survived by his sons, Todd (significant other, Tammy) of Bloomington, Blake (Irene) of Shoreview, and Drew (Donna) of Annandale; 4 grandchildren, Cassie (Jon) Egerer, Derek (Christina) Jacobson, Krista (Scott) Grossinger, and Jen Gale; 9 great-grandchildren, Cam, Isaac, Tucker, Sandy, Adrian, Hannah, Killian, Ole, and Arthur; siblings, Joan (Gary) Lindmeyer of Maple Lake and John Jacobson of Annandale; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Violet; wife, Sandra; daughter-in-law, Lisa Jacobson; grandson, Ryan Lee Jacobson; siblings, Joy (Ron) Lobeck and Janice (Robert) Bowman; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Jacobson.
