James R. Hart, age 75, of Annandale died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Augusta.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson and Rev. Ali Bommershine officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to services.
James Russell Hart was born February 10, 1936 in Annandale to the late Russell and Marian (Strecker) Hart. He graduated from Annandale High School in 1954 and then entered the U.S. Army being stationed in Germany. Before entering the workforce he graduated from St. Cloud State University. He spent time as a teacher, salesman and manager but truly had an entrepreneurial spirit and always seemed to be working on his next venture. Most recently he owned and operated Airlift Doors and Carefree Lawn Sprinklers. Jim lived life to the fullest and loved making people happy. His passions included playing softball, traveling to Mexico, and spending time with family & friends. Jim was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale Snowmobile Club, and was a former president & member of the Annandale Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Carleen of Annandale, daughter Sarah Hart (Adam Johnson) of Annandale, son Josh (Anna) Hart of South Haven, grandchildren Piper & Jack Hart, foster son Rick Anderson of Plymouth, and sister Judy (Dub) Ferrell of Annandale.
The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
