James L. Combs, age 61, of South Haven, died Monday, August 22, 2022 at his home in Fairhaven Township.

Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2022 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation 2 hours prior. Pastor Todd Nelsen will officiate. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.

James Lawrence Combs was born July 28, 1961 in Winsted to Glen and Vivian (Finrud) Combs. He grew up in the Annandale area, graduating from Annandale High School with the Class of 1979. On June 7, 1986, he was united in marriage to Kim Dillon at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven. They made their home in Annandale, prior to moving to their current home in Fairhaven Township. Jim worked as a truck driver and as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, four-wheeling, working on vehicles, going up to the cabin, driving truck, and hanging out with friends. He valued time spent with family above all else.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kim of South Haven; daughter and son, Jessica Combs of Maple Grove and Trevor Combs of South Haven; parents, Glen and Vi Combs of Maple Lake; sisters, Marilyn Combs (Rick Laabs) of Watkins and Gloria (Chris) Juetten of Clearwater; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Marian Finrud and Verna and Walter Combs; and parents-in-law, David and Shirley Dillon.
