James F. Cleveland, age 73, of South Haven died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service at 6 p.m. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale.
James Franklin Cleveland was born May 28, 1935 to Arthur and Elsie (Boggs) Cleveland in Southside Township, Wright County where he lived his entire life. He was a 1953 graduate of Annandale High School and married Karen 'Susie' Nyren on November 9, 1957. Jim was a truck driver and former member of the South Haven Sportsman's Club & Fair Have Lions Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, hunt, and garden. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Karen 'Susie' of South Haven; children, Deborah Jurgens of South Haven, Diane Cleveland of South Haven, Doris (Todd) Korsmo of South Haven, Jason (Janet) Cleveland of Kimball; brother, William Cleveland of South Haven; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; also many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson Ryan Laney, brother Gayle Cleveland, and sister Mary Jane Gutknecht.
