Mr. James J. `Jim` Becker, age 69, of Litchfield died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Emmanuel Home, Litchfield.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the Kimball United Methodist Church with Rev. Heather E. Klason officiating. Interment will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church in Kimball. Here will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday.
James Joseph `Jim` Becker was born April 6, 1936 in South Haven to Frederick and Margaret (Sinnett) Becker. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1955. Jim married Donna J. Ellis on September 15, 1961 in Kimball. He lived in Litchfield most of his life where he worked at Litchfield Woolen Mills for 35 years and after that 15 years at Hutchinson Technology retiring in August of 2004. Jim was a member of Kimball United Methodist Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Willmar. Jim loved his family, watching his grandsons participate in their sports activities, campfires, golfing, and woodworking.
Jim is survived by his wife, Donna of Litchfield; daughter, Barb (Jim) Thies of Hutchinson; sisters, Jeannette (Harold) Strom of Willmar and Jean (Richard) Schultz of Minneapolis; mother in law, Evelyn Ellis of Litchfield; grandsons, Dalton and Tyler Thies of Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother in law, Roger Rokala; and niece, Lois Bacon.
