Jacob Allen Sundblad, age 19, of Annandale died in an aircraft accident Friday, December 1, 2006 near Crookston.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Annandale. Rev. Jeff Blank and Rev. D.J. Lura will officiate. Burial will be in North Crow River Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Prayer service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Jacob Allen Sundblad was born July 1, 1987 in Edina to Allen and Carla (Kamrath) Sundblad. He graduated from Annandale High School in 2006, where he was active in the National Honor Society, band, golf and was the goalie on the Stars hockey team. He was also a member of Annandale ACT. Jacob was currently attending the University of North Dakota School of Aviation and was a member of the ROTC. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, kayaking, camping and flying.
Jacob is survived by his parents, Allen and Carla; brother, Philip; grandparents, Janet & Jerry Fricke of St. Michael, Clifford & Florence Sundblad of Cokato, and Ann & Vincent "Buzz" Hackman of Sumner, IA; great grandparents, Gladys Smith of Zumbrota and Geraldine Hackman of Rochester; great great grandmother, Clara Friedrich of Zumbrota; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His grandmother, Erma Sundblad; great grandparents, Philip Smith and Vincent Hackman preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Dan Peterson, Matthew Piram, Dale Machovsky, Jr., Andrew Brown, Jay Kettler and Brandon Peery. Becky Unger, pianist, Barbara Jacobson, soloist, and St. John's Rejoice Team will provide the music for the service. Arrangements were made by Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
