Irmgard "Irma" Truenow, age 86, of Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at her home.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Pastor Kurt Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Fairhaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials in memory of Irma may be directed to Bibles for Missions Thrift Center 4713 36th Ave. N. Irmgard Lydia Truenow was born August 9, 1935, in Fair Haven Township to Henry and Lydia (Lueker) Truenow. Irma is a 1953 graduate of Kimball Area High School. In 1960, Irma moved to Minneapolis. She worked as a commercial insurance underwriter for Fireman's Fund Insurance for 26 years, before working for Berkley Risk Services for 5 years. After 35 years in the industry, Irma retired in 2000. In 2001, she moved to her beloved senior cooperative in Plymouth. She was a member of Golden Valley Lutheran Church, as her faith played an important part of her life. Irma enjoyed traveling and watching sports, especially Golden Gopher football.

Irma is survived by various cousins and many dear friends who were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lydia.
