Irene Roselia Warner was born on August 13, 1928 in Holdingford, Minnesota to August and Emma (Reinke) Schulte. As a young girl, Irene moved with her family to Albany, before eventually spending her remaining teen years in Avon. On October 9, 1947 Irene was united in holy matrimony to Wilbur William Warner at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Together, Irene and Wilbur owned and operated Warner's Farm and Resort on Sugar Lake.
In her spare time, Irene enjoyed making rugs, sewing, taking trips, shopping and always looked forward to going out for a bite to eat. She dedicated many years to working on the farm, a job she truly enjoyed. She appreciated the many guests that vacationed at the resort, and liked to visit with them. Irene will be fondly remembered as a fun-loving, caring mother and grandmother. Her heart of gold will be missed by all those who loved her, especially by her family. Irene's greatest enjoyment in life was the time she was able to spend with her family.
Irene is survived by her children, David (Anita) Warner of Foreston, Diane (Kris) Person of Clear Lake, Gene (Judy) Warner of Annandale, Louise (John) Schutz of Watkins, Shirely Warner of Annandale, Alice (Curtis) Denney of Annandale, and Charlotte (Virgil) Hall of Sauk Rapids; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Alma Kozak of Clear Lake and Evelyn Gronau of Sauk Rapids; and nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Roger, husband, Wilbur, and brothers-in-law, Harry Kozak and Donald Gronau.
Irene's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Music will be provided by St. Ignatius Music Ministry. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
