Obituary
Irene E. Ervasti, age 89, of Annandale died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, French Lake Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.
Irene Evelyn Ervasti was born October 20, 1923 in Warren, MN to Arthur and Emma (Alama) Nicka. She married Wesley K. Ervasti on June 17, 1944 in Minneapolis and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2000. Prior to moving back to Annandale in 1988, she lived in Minneapolis and Rockford. While in Rockford she worked in food service at Rockford High School.
She is survived by daughters Susan Ervasti of Long Lake, Debra (Larry) Graunke of Rockford, Ann (Murray) Muff of St. Cloud, son-in-law Walter Black of Park Ridge, IL, sisters Delores McPadden of Annandale, Dorothy Kotila of Cokato, sister-in-law Dorie Nicka of Annandale, 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Mary Black, son Paul Ervasti, daughter-in-law Gail Ervasti, 4 sisters and 5 brothers.
The pallbearers will be Stash Black, Eric Ervasti, Matthew Wolf, Michael Gallagher, John, Adam & Jeremiah Graunke, Joe & Wyatt Muff, and Dusty Nicka. The organist for the service will be Orma Lou Jacobsma and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
