Mrs. Irene A. Fashant, age 94, of Annandale died Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Father Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Irene A. Fashant was born July 26, 1911 in Cumberland, WY to Samuel and Edla (Makki) Lusti. She married Russell W. Fashant in 1929 in Albion Township, Wright County and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1981. Irene has lived in Annandale for many years where she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and Council of Catholic Women, Camp Friendship Auxiliary, Annandale Care Center Auxiliary, and the Annandale Improvement Club. Irene loved her family, church, golf, and gardening.
Irene is survived by her children, Ronald and Maxine Fashant of Kimball, and Iris and Pat McAlpin of South Haven; and sister, Marian Thurk of Annandale; 18 grandchildren; and 42 great grandchildren. A son, Keith; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Tom, Chris, Jeff and Andy Fashant, John, Greg, Gary, Steve, Marty, and Kelly McAlpin. Music for the funeral provided by Dureen Gasser.
Memorials preferred to the St. Ignatius Catholic Church Building Fund.
