Hilda Schendel, age 101, of Columbia Heights died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Crestview Lutheran Home in Columbia Heights.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating.  Burial will follow at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Fair Haven.  Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the funeral service.

Hilda Schendel was born July 29, 1913 in Fairhaven to Gottlieb and Adeline (Erdmann) Seutter.  She married D. D. Schendel on December 21, 1969 and he preceded her in death on September 18, 1985.  Hilda worked 32 years in the payroll and tax department for a Plumbing & Heating Contractor in St. Paul; retiring in August of 1973.

Hilda is survived by many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents Gottlieb & Adeline Seutter; husband D. D. Schendel; brothers William, Edwin, Al, Lorenz, Gilbert, and Donald Seutter; and sisters Louise Yerks, Amelia Seutter, Alma Muhring and Irene Miller.
