Helen M. Callahan, age 92, of Annandale died Thursday, October 16, 2003 at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2003 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Rev. Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale.
Helen May Callahan was born May 27, 1911 at Ortonville to William and Mary (Gleason) Ahsenmacher. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1929 and was a sales clerk at Woolworth`s Drug in Minneapolis for several years. She married Edward G. Callahan in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1988. She has lived in Annandale the past 10 years, Winona from 1946-1993, and previously in Minneapolis. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church and the Winona American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her brother, Leo Ahsenmacher and his wife, Phyllis of Annandale and sister in law, Nordica Ahsenmacher of Annandale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, brother, Joseph, and sister, Frances McAlpin.
