Mrs. Harriet M. Korsten, age 90, of Annandale died Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Harriet M. Korsten was born June 20, 1915 in Corinna Township, Wright County to Eugene and Estella (Rhoe) Heaton. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1933. Harriet married Norman H. Korsten on September 28, 1935 in Buffalo and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1996. She worked as a supervisor in food service at St. Cloud State University and along with her husband owned and operated Kamp Kool Resort on Clearwater Lake for 62 years before retiring in 1997. She lived in Annandale all her life where she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Zion Busy Needles. Harriet loved her family, sewing, and the outdoors.
Harriet is survived by daughters, Audrey Steveson of St. Cloud, and Linda (Kenneth) Truenow of Mount Dora, FL; four grandsons; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Virgil, Calvin, and Mike Truenow, and Wayne Hentges. The organist for the funeral will be Kathy Queck.
