Obituary
Harold Ray Hanson, age 92, of Annandale, formerly of Atwater, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Tri County Alliance Church, 8464 160th Street NW, Clearwater with Pastor Tony Stanley officiating. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in Union Cemetery, Atwater. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
Harold Ray Hanson was born January 7, 1914 to Hans and Clara (Johnson) Hanson at St. Hilaire, MN where he graduated from high school in 1933. Harold earned his Electronic Engineering Degree in 1937 from the National Institute of Technology, Minneapolis and then worked for 3M in St. Paul. He married Susan M. Hilligoss August 13, 1937 in Minneapolis and she preceded him in death on August. 6, 1991. Harold & Susan owned & operated the Atwater Beach Resort from 1947-1972 when they retired upon which they spent their summers on Diamond Lake and winters in Diamond City, AR.
He is survived by children & their spouses, H. Robert & Darlene Hanson of Clearwater, Carole & Neil Christenson of Little Falls; foster son, Robert Thompson of Brooklyn Center; sisters, Hazel Amundson of St. Louis Park, Freda Gulseth & her husband, Orville of Wayzata; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. His wife; infant daughter; 3 grandchildren; and sister, Ruby, preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Jon & Justin Hanson, Jim & Jonathan Christenson, Kevin & Michael Olson. Bob Hanson & Neil Christenson, vocalists and Jim Nelson, pianist will provide the music for the service. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
