Guy W. Thompson, age 33, of 301 Meeker Ave. N., Watkins died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 in Watkins as a result of a train accident while taking pictures.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Kimball United Methodist Church with Rev. Heather E. Klason officiating. Interment will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday.
Guy William Thompson was born January 28, 1973 in South St. Paul to Raymond and Theresa (Ganje) Thompson. For the past 10 years he has lived in the Watkins and Kimball area and married Jennifer C. VanVleet on August 25, 2001 in St. Cloud. Guy was a member of Union Local #49 and was a heavy equipment operator for Veit Company, Rogers. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his son Damien, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and music.
He is survived by his wife, Jenni and their son Damien of Watkins; parents, Raymond & Theresa Thompson of Cottage Grove; brothers, Keith (Liz) of Hastings, Kipp (Ericka) of Watkins; father & mother in law, Alan & Wendy VanVleet of Kimball; sisters in law, Amanda of St. Cloud, Rhiannon of Kimball; nieces, Tayea, Kelsey, Mckenzie & Allison; and nephews, Cameron, Alex, Zack, Jake & Tanner.
The pallbearers will be Troy Isensee, John Giles, Jason Knoll, Rick Berg, Dan Gagnon and Sean Bailey. The organist for the service will be Jamie Miller and the arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
