Gregory C. Jude, age 86, of Maple Lake died Sunday, August 11, 2013 surrounded by family at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Mark Juettner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Timothy's School.
Gregory Calvin Jude was born August 19, 1926 in Maple Lake Township to Cyrus and Mary (Ramey) Jude and he graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1944. On October 29, 1947 he was united in marriage to Anabel Munstenteiger. Greg was a farmer and carpenter building his own home on the farm. He was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church & Catholic Order of Foresters and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved farming, traveling, dancing, picking raspberries, and mowing the lawn. Greg loved his family; children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great granddaughter. Having them all together for Christmas and the annual birthday party was his greatest delight.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Anabel, six children Gregory S. (Jane) Jude of Pine City, Jennifer (Jim) Mims of St. Paul, Dan (Katie) Jude of Burnsville, Susan Jude (Larry Babiracki) of Plymouth, Jeffrey Jude of Maple Lake, Julie (Alan) Hudek of Maple Lake, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter in law Susan L. Jude, and brother Jerry Jude.
The pallbearers will be Troy, Patrick, Stuart & Cymon Jude, Scott Mims, and Nick Hudek. The music for the service will be provided by St. Timothy's Resurrection Choir and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
