Glenn D. Heberling, Sr., age 81, of Annandale died Friday, September 17, 2004 at the Foley Nursing Center, Foley where he has been a resident the past 3 years.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Acacia Cemetery, Clearwater. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a Masonic prayer service 7 p.m. Monday. Memorials are preferred to the Annandale United Methodist Church or the Nature Conservancy.
Glenn D. Heberling, Sr. was born November 30, 1922 at Annandale to Alfred and Clara (Cleveland) Heberling. He was a graduate of Annandale High School and the University of Minnesota and also was a Sea Bee in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He married E. Jane Norden on June 7, 1947 in St. Cloud and she preceded him in death on February 5, 1994. Glenn was an electrical engineer for Northern States Power Co. for 33 years working in Minneapolis and St. Cloud. He was a member of Annandale United Methodist Church and Clearwater Masonic Lodge #28. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by 2 sons & their wives, David & Joyce Heberling of Annandale, Paul Heberling & Kathy Love of Roseburg, OR; 4 grandchildren, Kristine (William) Smallfield of Bloomington, Jennifer (Michael) Sommers of Annandale, Chase & Chelsie Heberling of Roseburg, OR; 4 great grandchildren, Sarah, Paige, Mason, & Jonah; 2 brothers & their wives, Elwood & Shirley, Alfred & Stella, all of Annandale.
The music for the services will be by Sharon Planer and Michael Sommers. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
