Obituary
Gladys M. Quast, age 92, of Annandale died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call one hour prior to services at Zion Lutheran Church.
Gladys Minnie Quast was born July 19, 1914 in Plato to Carl and Anna (Keusemann) Jahnke. She was Baptized at St. Paul`s Evangelical Church, Plato by Rev. Ziclinski and it was there also that she was Confirmed in the Lutheran Faith by Rev. Eyrich on April 1, 1928. Gladys married Herbert J. Quast on September 11, 1935 at St. Paul`s Evangelical Lutheran Church by Rev. Bunge. Gladys & Herbert lived on a farm 3 miles west of Plato until 1949 and then moved to Minneapolis where they owned & operated an apartment house. In 1970 they moved to their lake home on Pleasant Lake, Annandale. Gladys was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale.
She is survived by her sister Alice Stevenson & her husband Harold of Albertville and was preceded in death by her husband on June 23, 1996, brother Erwin Jahnke and sisters Lorraine Parpart & Delores Ahmann.
The pallbearers will be Joey Nourie, Terry Bandemer, Jerome Ehlers, Jeremy Stevenson, Jim Dudley and Tom Quast. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
