Gladys L. Gordon, beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, age 85, of Annandale died Monday March 31, 2008 at Sunrise Cottages, Buffalo.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call one half hour prior to services at the Church. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association, 4550 W. 77th St, Minneapolis 55435.
Gladys Lorraine Gordon was born March 9, 1923 at South Haven to Henry and Eathel (Campbell) Converse. She married Donald Bruce Gordon on August 24, 1946 in Grand Rapids and he preceded her in death on October 29, 1968. Gladys was employed by the Department of Natural Resources as a park worker in Minnesota State Parks and then employed in quality control by Litton Industries, Plymouth. She was a former member of the Annandale VFW Auxiliary. Gladys enjoyed sewing, camping, fishing, and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by children & their spouses, Randy & Patsy of Sandstone, Gregory & Carol of Blain, Larry of Rockford, Ronda & Larry Meckle of Annandale; brother, Glenn Converse of Blaine; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Her husband, son Gary, sister & brothers Ruth VanNurden, Ivan, Oral, and Lester preceded her in death.
The music for the service will be provided by Sharon Planer, pianist and Christine Passig, soloist. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
