Gilbert A. Gille, age 86, of Annandale died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital, Litchfield.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the Church.
Gilbert Arthur Gille was born February 13, 1920 in Annandale to William and Ida (Kindall) Gille. He served his Country during WW II in the U.S. Army. He married Caroline Olson on February 16, 1946 and they later were divorced. Gib married Delores Mundt Hadtrath on November 22, 1969 and she preceded him in death on September 14, 1997. He was a Truck Driver for Cassellius Redi-Mix, Annandale and then Watkins Redi-Mix retiring in 1989. He was a member of Maple Lake VFW Post 7664, Maple Lake Legion Post 131 and Clearwater Legion Post 323.
He is survived by children & their spouses, Betty Lou & Jeff Nevin of Poplar, WI, Michael & Jeannie Gille of Waverly, Patty & Gary Huberty of Detroit Lakes, David & Loretta Gille of Moorhead, Gayle & Scott Jones of Poplar, WI, Peggy & Gary Wisted of Poplar, WI, Connie Fair of Arizona, Jackie Roberts of Denver, CO; sister, Ruby Denson of Elk River; step daughters, Stella Bistodeau of Cokato, Debbie Roach of Howard Lake; 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Delores; daughter Linda Lano; brothers, William, Harold, Alfred & Edward; and sisters, Elsie Erickson, Lillian Gunnerson & Gertrude Campbell.
The pallbearers will be Troy & Joe Gille, Mike Nevin, Steve Lano, Jim Huberty, David Wisted, Ryan Jones and David Connelly. The organist will be Elwyn Nordberg and the arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
