Gerald L. Mundell, age 79, of Buffalo, formerly of Annandale died peacefully, Thursday, June 10, 2010.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Jerry's residence, 1525 W. Shore Drive, Buffalo, MN. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea.
Gerald Lee Mundell was born December 3, 1930 in Mason City, Iowa to Cyril and Violet (Benson) Mundell. He was married to Barbara Jean Mundell for 32 years. He was a longtime resident of Clearwater Lake. Jerry owned Specialty Sales Service, Stow-a-Way Self Storage, Cedar Lake Apartments, and many other small ventures. He owned and worked for various real estate agencies throughout Annandale and Buffalo, and enjoyed refurbishing old houses. Jerry served in the SCARWAF unit of the Army during the Korean war, was a longstanding member of the Annandale Lions Club and was on the Board of Directors during the building of the Annandale Care Center. He loved spending time with family and friends and being outdoors doing pretty much anything.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Peter Mundell & Michael Wetzel of Maple Grove and Lauren & Dan Wipper of Clearwater. He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Mundell, parents and former wife.
