Obituary
George G. Pancake, age 92, of Watkins died Thanksgiving Day evening at Meeker County Memorial Hospital, Litchfield.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2006 at Ostmark Lutheran Church, 32721 680th Ave., Watkins with Rev. Melinda Melhus officiating. Burial will follow in Ostmark Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball.
George Glenn Pancake was born to Alonzo & Lillie (Nelson) Pancake on November 13, 1914 in rural Watkins where he lived his lifetime and farmed. He married Amy V. Meline on March 31, 1934 in Litchfield and she preceded him in death on October 20, 2002. He was a member of Ostmark Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing & traveling.
He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Rosenow & her husband Kenneth of Watkins and one grandson, Chad Rosenow of Savage. His wife and an infant brother preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Ronald & Edward Meline, Ronald & Wally Strand, Jerry Rice, and Leon Pauly. The music for the service will be provided by Marleigh Rumsey and Carol Looman. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
