Gary L. Finneman, age 50, of Annandale died suddenly of heart failure on Monday, November 29, 2004 at Annandale. His sense of humor and love of life will be missed.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. David Doppenberg officiating. Inurnment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church.
Gary Leigh Finneman was born March 3, 1954 in St. Cloud to Russell and Betty (Strom) Finneman. He grew up in Robbinsdale and in 1971 enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving his Country during the Viet Nam War. He married Claudia M. Simenson April 18, 1986 in Minneapolis and they have lived at Annandale since then. Gary worked in construction as a concrete saw operator, currently being employed by Quality Cutting & Coring of Blaine. He was a member of Laborers Union Local #563 of Minneapolis, South Haven Sportsman's Club, and HOG. He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, cooking, and making sausage.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia; sons, Nate & Nick; parents, Russell & Betty; brother, Jerry (Pam), all of Annandale; parents in law, George & Lucy Simenson of Thief River Falls; nephews & nieces, Joe & Jenny Finneman, Riley & Danielle Simenson, Justin Simenson, Jade & Katie Leeper; also many other family and friends. His grandparents and sister, Ruth Ann preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Joe Finneman, Dennis Walberg, Chris Sonsteby, Mark Huro, Steve Anderson, Dustin Nicka, Mickey Snabb, and Bruce Robuck. The music for the service will be provided by Lisa & Danielle Simenson, & Tiffany Sorenson vocalists and Orma Lou Jacobsma, organist. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
