Frank 'Buster' Wittenberg, age 79, of Annandale died Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital. His long journey through kidney dialysis has finally ended and he is at peace with the Lord.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Zion United Methodist Church, South Haven with Rev. Heather E. Klason officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
Frank Raymond Wittenberg was born June 26, 1925 to Frank E. and Lillian E. (Hinz) Wittenberg in Southside Township, Wright County where he lived most of his lifetime. He graduated from Annandale High School and was a farmer. Buster was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Farmer's Union, and Modern Woodman of America. He enjoyed woodworking and time spent at the Wright County Swappers Meet.
He is survived by sister in law, Fern Wittenberg of South Haven; nieces, nephews & their spouses, Kathleen & Lyman Bodeker-Hull of St. Joseph, James & Karen Wittenberg of White Settlement, TX, Donna & Bruce Guggisberg of St. Cloud, Bruce & Kathy Wittenberg of Anchorage, AL, Darlene Randall of Shakopee; 15 great nieces & nephews; and many great great nieces & nephews. His parents, brother, Norman, and one nephew preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Norman & Ryan Bodeker, Nick & Mike Guggisberg, Gordon Hesse, John Lebens, and Chad Wallebeck. Jamie Miller will be the organist for the service.
