Frank L. Pope, age 100 of Kimball died Monday, November 9, 2009 at his niece's home in St. Cloud.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November13, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pearl Lake. Fr. Jerry Nordick and Fr. Luke Steiner will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Pearl Lake. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services, Friday at the church.
Frank Leo Pope was born February 13, 1909 in Maine Prairie Township to Henry and Lena (Zutz) Pope. He married Marie Scheeler on May 13, 1944 at St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Cloud. He was self employed as a farmer and a lumber sawyer and was a member of the St. Cloud Eagles. Frank enjoyed lumber sawing, fishing, hunting and farming.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marie; brother and his wife, Wheeler & Laura Pope of St. Cloud; sister in law, Elsie Pope of Mendota Heights; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel Pope and sister Hulda Pope.
Pallbearers will be Gale, Travis, Justin, Ross and Dan Pope, Jim Thul and Scott Clark. Julene Faber and Heather Smoley will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Kimball.
