Obituary
Frank `Lefty` Nelson, age 87, of Watkins, formerly of South Haven, died Sunday, September 28, 2003 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Edward Groop officiating. Burial will follow in the Cokato Finnish Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
Frank Irvin Nelson was born June 28, 1916 at Cokato to Frank O. and Hilma K. (Ruona) Nelson. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and enjoyed music and sporting events. He is survived by his half sister, Irene Sarenpa of Schofield, WI and numerous cousins and friends. His brothers, Ernest, Lawrence, & Elmer, and half brother, Rudy Sarenpa preceded him in death.
