Francis "Frank" E. Hogan, age 80, of Maple Lake, Minnesota died Monday, May 15, 2017 at his home while under the love & care of his family.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake with a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Fr. John Meyer will officiate.

Francis Edward Hogan was born January 25, 1937 in Maple Lake, Minnesota to Richard and Margaret (Bullock) Hogan. Frank grew up in Maple Lake, where he graduated from high school with the Class of 1955. On February 28, 1959 Frank was united in marriage to Iris Marie Hamilton at St. Timothy's Catholic Church. Frank and Iris owned and operated H&H Sport Shop and H&H Archery Supply in Maple Lake. Upon their retirement, Frank and Iris spent time at their cabin on Three Island Lake in northern Minnesota during the summer and in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida during the winter months.  Frank enjoyed participating in outdoor activities such as golfing, hunting, and fishing. Bowhunting & fly-in fishing trips were among his favorites.  As a sports enthusiast, he cheered on the various Minnesota sports teams, especially the Gophers. He also liked quiet times when he was able to spend time reading & working on crossword puzzles. Most importantly, Frank truly relished in the time he was able to spend with his family.

Frank is survived by his children, Mike (Mitzi) Hogan of Maple Lake, Lynn Hogan Schlink of San Diego, CA, and Chris (Keith) Sprouls of Farmington; 3 grandchildren, Matthew (Kathleen) Schlink, Jory Schlink, and Josh Hogan; 3 great grandchildren, Easton, Autumn, and June Schlink; brother, Richard (Carol) Hogan of Maple Lake; and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris, parents, and sister, Geraldine Oestreich.
